24. individual ideas for title sequence

As a group we presented our individual ideas of what we want our film opening to be. When then came to a conclusion and incorporated two peoples ideas into one. We have chose to do a crime/ teen drama genre.



The idea is that there is a group of four new friends who have met recently at college. Little do they know she's psychotic and is very clingy. She then goes off to do something (i.e goes to the toilet) meanwhile the friends get approached by a girl who warns them about her. Later she comes back looking very suspicious and it come to a realisation that she has an obsession with the group of girls she has now become friends with. When she goes missing with one of them, she becomes the subject of suspense and the other friends seek help from a local police officer who sends detectives to take action.



Initially the majority of this opening would take place within the school canteen or perhaps one of the classrooms and later take place outside or school at police station.
Another location could be at one of the friends houses where they are more likely to seem trapped or isolated. (The idea is that it will begin by taking place inside a building and then move onto a police station or outside where a police officer may be walking by).


Some of the props/ costumes that will be used include:

• Knives (for the psycho girl)
• Books and pens/ revision equipment (as the girls could be studying)
• Phones 
• Earphones
• Lanyards (if they are at school)
• Casual clothing (To emphasise the fact they are teenagers) Eg. tops, jeans. shoes socks. earnings, bracelets etc...
• Police officer uniform
• Handcuffs
• Gun (for police officer)

The characters within this opening will be both male and female. The psycho will be a girl whereas the other friends within the group can be a mix of the two genders. The police officer and detective will be male and in their mid 30's maybe let late 20's. Moreover the group of friends as well as the psycho girl will be teenagers aged 16-18.

When it comes to the titles they will be bold to ensure a statement is made. It also connotes the theme of the movie and suggests to the audience that the movie perhaps is going to be intense. The titles will appear as motions that combined into the events taking place within the opening.
Although this may be difficult to do, it is a unique and stylish way of incorporating the titles. It also goes very well with the genre of crime.

The sound in tis opening is going to be very mysterious. This is because it creates suspense and has the audience wondering what is going to happen. This type of sound is captivating and encourages a person to continue to watch as they are eager to find out what is going to happen next. furthermore there will also be some dialogue I this opening. this is to satisfy the audience in terms of what the situation taking place is, as well as, delivering and understanding of what the overall film may be about.
