From all my research I leant that the importance of a title sequence is to highlight some of the important elements of the films such as the genre, atmosphere and other elements that draw the audience in to the film, but to also to give credit to everyone who helped produce the film. This is useful as it helps to promote the actors and also helps to draw the audience in to a fan base.
When looking at the opening sequence for Se7en we get the impression that it is dramatic and is crime based due to the type of font used , the sound effects and the font used. The opening credits appear with who made it , the actors it stars , the name of the film , other actors ( that aren't as well known) , Casting , Music Costumes , edited by , production , Photography , co producers , executive producers, written by , produced by , then lastly directed by. These credits appear extremely fast and are in a 12/14 font size. Se7en
