when doing my prelim film with my group i found it to be successful even though we didn't finish editing. we were very successful in showing two people having a conversation, and expressed this using shot reverse shot. when it came to filming I was fairly good with the camerawork. I made a mistake doing one of the shots as there was a lot of empty space around and behind the characters. once I realised this, I shot it again and got it right. moreover when it came to editing it was slightly tricky as I struggled a bit with making the shots flow and cutting them right. if I was to complete the project again, I think I would use a variety of different shots as the ones used were a bit too basic. I would also work a lot more on my editing skills.
when it comes to storyboarding and shot-lists, I've learnt it is very important as it keeps everything organised. it allows me to understand hat will or will not work.
